Autumn Rose’s style is often characterized as an expressive yet delicate line work of organized chaos. Using elements of Typography to form ambiguous yet relative meanings with the juxtaposition of the female form, Autumn has repeating themes of the human condition, themes such as vulnerability, fears, and love. Her love for people and the world around her is one of the things that forces her to create obsessively.
Growing up in Gresham Or, Autumn was often inspired by weekend visits to Portland to study there in the future. Her experience both in the country and the city has proved to have had an unconscious affect on her work to reflect the calm and the chaos.
Autumn works with various types of media, such as collage, watercolor, pen and ink, and digital manipulation. She often does work that would appear in editorial publications, poster art, as well as gallery work.
While achieving her BFA at Pacific Northwest College of Art In Illustration, Autumn has been thoroughly involved in an online presence, having clients such as Society 6, Urban Outfitters, Threadless, and Gawker Artists.
